Graduation Trip Day 5: Commencement!

Saturday was Graduation day! The ceremony wasn't until the afternoon though so we started the day with a swim at the hotel. Lenora loved swimming too. She's been our first baby that doesn't hate the thought of swimming. Hazel and Eliza enjoyed the really shallow pool where they could play mermaids to their hearts' content.

Then we got dressed and headed over to campus to take pictures. I really wanted some nice pictures of all of us and I knew that after sitting through the ceremony the girls would not be up for it. While we didn't get any perfect shots of everyone, we got a lot of really nice ones.

Daddy and Hazel

After pictures we left Michael on campus so he could go to graduate Mass. Since Gonzaga is a Jesuit university the have a commencement Mass before the actual graduation. I took the girls back to the hotel for naps. Good things too - Mass was almost 3 hours long!

The commencement ceremony was nice and the girls did as well as could be expected:)

Michael and his biggest fans. He wouldn't be there without them!

Daddy's done! No more thesis!!!!
It was a bit surreal to realize Michael was really done! You know when your 2 year old talks about "Daddy's tee-sis" that your Master's has truly taken over the life of your whole family. This last semester was crazy but we all survived! Yay!
