Beautiful Miss Hazel celebrated her golden birthday turning 8 on July 8th. As if that's not special enough, she choose to be baptized that day! Hazel has been looking forward to her baptism for a long time. She loves the Savior and wants so much to do what's right and be good. She was simply radiant on her baptism day!
We were so blessed to have TONS of family join us for her special day. Both Gram and Grandpa (my parents) and Grandma and Grandpa flew out to support Hazel. My brother and sister and their families also both came for the baptism and to visit.

In addition to all the family, many members of the ward came to show their love and support for Hazel. We have loved the Boone Ward and so many people here. I'm so glad Hazel could be baptized here right before our move!

The day following the baptism, Hazel was asked to speak briefly in sacrament meeting. She shared how she felt happy and warm following her baptism, and bore a very short, sincere testimony. We are so proud of what an elegant and righteous girl she is becoming.

Of course there were baptisms and birthdays to be celebrated afterwards. The BBQ moved from our house to the park due to a sewage backup (which thankfully was easily fixed later that day).
My mom entertained the kids in the shade...
And Grandma (who always manages to evade pictures) taught them to make fun flower crowns from clover...
What a perfect day!
