Six Weeks with Walter

Week One:

We stay home all week and marvel at the perfection of this sweet baby. Every time Walter sneezes, he makes the most adorable sighing sound. He wears his UVU hat in support of the men's basketball team, gets to meet Gram, and is held pretty much 24/7. One day it's warmer, and we venture out on a walk around the block.

Week Two:
This week Walter starts to wake up a bit! He gets his first real bath and LOVES it. His older siblings are still in awe of him, but also start "playing" with him by molding him in to silly faces and dressing him up. Walter goes on his first outing to Hazel's Easter choir fireside.

Week Three:
Walter enjoys forest school for the first time! Despite the snow and cold, we bundle him up and he takes a wonderful nap in the fresh air. It's safe to say the boy loves to be outside!  We also enjoy General Conference weekend and fight over who gets to snuggle him through each session.

Week Four:
We get to celebrate Walter's first Easter! He wears the Easter chick outfit made by Jamie that both Orson and Conrad wore, and sleeps through dying eggs. Walter gets to attend church for the first time where everyone is obsessed with him!

Week Five:
This week Walter gets to attend Thanksgiving Point for the first time. Even more exciting, he gets to meet Grandma and Grandpa when they come visit from California. We bless Walter at home surrounded by just close family. It is a perfect day as we pause and celebrate this sweet boy!

Walter's middle name Anthony is a combination of Andrew and Tony to honor these two amazing Grandpas!

Week Six:
If it wasn't already clear that Walter is now king of our family, the kids made it official with his coronation this week! At the science fair at IMA, he was labeled by one of the teenagers with a "CUTE" post-it-note. Sweet Orson changes his diaper for the first time (no worries that it was backwards haha!) Walter also eats a ton, enjoys baths to calm any fussies, and supports Eliza at her state gymnastics meet.

And just like that, his newborn days are over, he's losing his little lamb cry, and becoming so much more alert. We all love you so much Walter!
