Dear Blog, 

I was mad at your for deleting all the photos on here before 2016. So I spent way too much time this summer trying to recover them. I found most of the pictures on old SD cards, but they're still not matched to the individual posts. 

With all the hassle, I decided to give up on the blog. You couldn't be trusted! But I still really wanted to keep a family record becasue the kids LOVE going back to read old posts. So I tried a Google Doc and a journaling app. Ultimately, I didn't love either. 

I really want somewhere I can post the daily adventures so that when Hazel (and eventually the other kids) leave home, they'll still be able to keep tabs on everything going on here. Ultimately, I'm back to the blog. 

"Catching up" on everything I've missed will be impossilbe so the plan is: 

1. Photo dump a lot of pictures 

2. Birthday blogs (my kids say these are their favorite of all posts and not to be skipped) 

3. Transfer the posts from the journal app

They're going to be messy, but something is better than nothing. Here I go!
