Hazel and Eliza went to the Mid-Prairie homeschool prom with friends from our stake. I'm so glad they did. While it's not the prom either of them imagined, they had a blast.
These girls have really put themselves out there this year since moving. They've made some great friends, but they've also had some flops. They wanted so much to fit in and enjoy taking some elective classes at the high school, but it's just been hard. At a school of only 250 people, new kids don't get accepted quickly. Add that you're also homeschoolers and only come part-time, and it's tricky to break into that group.
Thankfully, they've made some incredible friends both in our homeschool co-op and at church. I love that they decided to go to the homeschool prom and make the best of it. And in the end, it was an awesome night. They just reused their Oscar's dresses since it was a last minute plan, but they both looked amazing.
