July Week 2 - Off to Utah!

As soon as Michael finished teaching his last day of summer classes it was time for our first trip back to Utah since our move. The girls were beyond excited to go and visit everyone! We decided to tackle the 16 hour drive in one day instead of breaking it up. It sounds crazy (and it was a bit), but I'm so glad we did it this way. The girls were amazing in the car, and we even had some really fun road trip moments.

Saturday: birthday party for Hazel and Eliza and then Becca's baby shower

Hazel and Angel
Eliza shortly after wacking my dad with the stick!
Waffle bar!
My parents invited the 6-year olds they teach in Primary.
Gram Holly and Tony
The girls went nuts on the in ground trampoline at Becca's parents' house.
Sunday: church in the Deaf ward, visiting the Provo City Center temple, and a BBQ with TJ
The temple has changed so much and is beautiful!

Monday: visiting Gram Holly while Mommy and Daddy went to the temple, swimming with Harrison and Becca at the Provo Rec Center, and In-n-Out for dinner!
Cousins!
Look at all those little girls! Harrison's first, Lydia, was born a few weeks later.
Eliza, Hazel, Brooklyn and Gabby, Brenna, Mommy and Lenora

Lenora LOVES with water! She was dunking her face in!!!

Tuesday: train date with Grandpa to Temple Square, and "sleepover" with Gram and Grandpa while Mommy and Daddy went to an ASL session at the temple
It's been too long since our last train date!
A group of Chinese tourists was there and they LOVED all our blond haired girls!

Eliza and Brenna became such good friends this trip!
Wednesday: visit with Grandma-great and Grandpa Ballard before he headed back to California. Plus Chuck-a-Rama with cousins and fireworks with Aunt Alicia!
Michael, Grandma-great, Hazel, Lenora, Eliza
More cousin fun!
Grandpa and his girls!
Thursday: Zoo date with Angel and family sealing session at the Jordan River temple
Lenora loved the monkeys!
Riding the train
Enjoying the cool new splash pad!
The seals and sea lions were another favorite.
One of the highlights of our trip was attending the temple a ton while we were there. Gabby was able to talk to my grandmother's sister and get her permission to do her temple work! So the first week we did the temple work for my grandmother, two of her sisters, her father, and a few other relatives. Each day, from Monday through Thursday, I was able to go to the temple and participate in the different ordinances for these women. It was incredible! It was also amazing to have our entire family all there for the sealing Thursday night.
The two pregnant ones!
I have the BEST family!
Thursday night and Friday: cousins sleepover, ballet class, and yellow party!!! Eliza and Brenna are both obsessed with yellow so we had a yellow party. It was such a hit!
Ballet class!
Eliza in third position.
Making yellow cake.
The yellow girls!
Yellow peppers, banana, scrambled eggs, pineapple, and yellow cake!
