Birthday Boy 1

Three years ago, this little boy took our world by storm with his speedy arrival, and he hasn't slowed down a bit since. Conrad has an enormous spirit and boundless energy crammed in a tiny body. It's no wonder he's always on the go!

Conrad, you could play outside all day, every day and never get bored. You also love your siblings and usually can be found shadowing one of them.

A friend once told me, "A clean child is a sad child." You must be a very happy child, because you usually look something like this....
Or this...
Or this...

Your love of dirt and the outdoors, along with you never-ending energy, makes you an incredible little hiker. You've done several 3-4 mile hikes this summer without me carrying you more than a few minutes.

You've been loving to dress up lately, and it's so fun to watch you! Pirates, a fireman, a cop, and lots of Batman and Robin. Sometimes Yellow Baby dresses up with you. I think my favorite is the Robin costume that's at least 2 sizes too small.
Yellow Baby even has a sword

Conrad, you aren't afraid to speak your mind. This week I cut my hair short. When I got home you looked at me with a confused expression and asked, "Where your big hair go?" "I cut it. Do you like it?" "NO! I like it your big hair!" Thanks buddy. At least your assessment of my hair was better than your feelings about zucchini to which you shout "I'm a hate that!"

I've never met a child that can sniff out candy like you do. Gum in Daddy's work bag, candy hidden in the closet, cookies in the basement pantry, fruit snacks in the garage. If it's a treat, you will find it. And eat it. And leave the trash on the floor. And cry if you get caught and someone takes it away.

You have plenty of sweet moments too. Recently Daddy taught you how to shape your hands in to a proper "I love you" sign. That day you went around all afternoon carefully folding up your index and pinky fingers and informing me, "That means love you!" Now any time you see Daddy you fold those fingers and burry your "I love you" in his.

There's nothing sweeter than the way you slurp your spaghetti.

You're also an incredibly hard worker when it comes to helping out with chickens or anything involving tools.

It's a rare occurrence, but when you want to, you give the best snuggles!

For your birthday you wanted a chocolate digger cake. Eliza worked hard on your cake and it was perfect!

The diggers on your cake and your brand new dump truck made you the happiest little boy I've ever seen. You didn't go anywhere without that dump truck for over a week. We even went on at least a mile walk, and you insisted on pushing it or carrying it the entire time.

You exhaust us and keep us all on our toes, but I hope you never lose your spark. Love you Conrad!
