Summer!

What's summer without a good project? This year Michael jumped in to a front yard project to rip out half our grass, add a fire pit and rock path to the back yard, and add drip irrigation and native plants. It's going to look amazing when it's done, but progress has been slow.

We've scored a lot of free or cheap materials like this GIANT pile of wood chips. It came long before we were ready for them, so they've been sitting in the driveway all summer. But we're finally getting close to spreading them haha!

Playing in the rain!

I put in an herb garden which I LOVE!

Enough projects - time for some summer fun! We've had loads between park days, forest school, playdates with friends, and water.

Father's Day - Daddy got a bacon heart for breakfast because nothing says we love you like that! And sweet Conrad insisted on bringing his baby to church because he's going to be a great dad someday.

Hazel went to Girl's Camp and had a blast! Highlights she reported included hiking to a glacier, an escape room type activity where they had to "rescue" the stake president who had been "captured," meeting girls from the other wards, and testimony meeting.

We switched Eliza and Lenora to bunkbeds and freed up so much space in their room. Of course, they found a more fun way to sleep in them...

June was a great start to summer. More summer adventures to come...
