Boom Fi-wah!

During National Chemistry Week, BYU offered several free Chemistry shows. Since Hazel and Eliza are currently studying chemistry, it was a perfect opportunity for them to see some really cool reactions. Little did I know it was Walter who would end up most enjoying our night. 

The girls loved the Periodic Table with real samples of the elements and the liquid nitrogen ice cream. But the real fun came as we watched the show. 

The professor doing the demonstrations blew up several balloons full of different gases. Walter was enamored. We managed to capture one on video, and for weeks afterwards he would ask to see the "Boom Fi-wah video." 

He now says "Boom Fi-wah" any time he sees a flame. Michael sure picked the perfect name sign for this little boy.
