Homecoming is a big deal in Iowa. They even have spirit week in the elementary schools.

One Friday night we christened our fire pit with family foil dinners and then a backyard date night once the kids were in bed. Michael remembered making ash cakes as a youth so we tried it. I was so skeptical but they actually turned out okay. Such a fun date night!

Eliza is currently obsessed with the color yellow. Here she is at lunch one day with her yellow dress, cup, plate and food. Silly girl!
Lenora is officially crawling all over the place. Let the messes begin. Good thing she's adorable!
