Jamie Time

Jamie came out to visit us for a week at the end of June. It was so wonderful to have her. She is always going out of her way to prepare thoughtful gifts and fun activities for our kids, and her visit was no exception. We baked Hello Kitty cookies, painted amazing Fourth of July nails, crafted, explored, and soaked in lots of visiting. Our curse of sickness when we have visitors continued though, and a few of us caught a stomach flu while she was here. No fun! Luckily we were still able to fit in most of the things we had planned.

One of the days we went to the Living History Farm. It was really fun and we will definitely be back at some point.

At the old fashioned school house, teacher Jamie gave a lesson to the kids!

Another day we took the kids and Jamie to see the High Trestle Bridge lights. Jamie gave the girls a bug net as part of their birthday present and the loved catching bugs (and fireflies) with it. We even found/caught a little snake.
Bug Explorers ready to go!

We also found and ate a some wild black raspberries along the way. So tasty!

Our kids are blessed to have their amazing aunt Jamie! She is a wonderful example to them and helps them know they are loved. Thanks for driving all the way out here to see us!
