Seasons Change

Fall is my all time favorite - the leaves bursting with vibrant colors, the cozy clothes and decor, the warm days and cool night, the collecting and preserving the last of the harvest, and all those fun fall traditions. The changing season fills my soul!

Forest School in Fall beyond words...

It seems there's often a snow that can't wait another moment and briefly turns fall in to a winter wonderland. Lenora of course is outside at the first sign of a flurry basking in the glory. Her favorite is winter!

And while we don't get many leaves in our yard, the kids are always happy to help rake them for others (even if their motivation is jumping in the piles).

Fall fishing with Daddy has been a big favorite too!

This Fall we had a special visitor. Great-grandpa rode the train from California and spent a few nights with us. It was so wonderful for me and the kids to get to know him better and enjoy his stories.

It's not just the leaves around us that were changing this Fall. As a family we've entered a new season as well. We'll call this new season, Daddy is the new Bishop....
Like all seasons of our lives, this one is sure to be filled with highs and some lows, lots of learning, and beautiful blessings. If there's one thing we can learn from Fall, it is that change, though hard, can make us glorious.
